Mark – Thanks for the inspiration. You make some great points, especially in the light of the fact that so many live recordings nowadays aren’t really live, and/or remixed, with vocal pitch correction, and even possibly re-recorded in the studio.

I do believe that the fans would appreciate this concert, and for those who weren’t there, this truly documents the way it was back then.

Jim, last nite I was at the La Mere reunion, and Brian/Maxxwell told me you were thinking about releasing this. The whole point of bootlegs is that there is a market for stuff that either the artist doesn't think - oten wrongly - that it's any good or the sound quality is such that an engineer doesn't want to have his or her name on it. The fan appreciates it just the same. The Doors - who have many professional-quality live albums out - put out a five-CD set of live stuff, most of which is of much poorer quality soundwise. I think that this would be a wonderful reminder of special nights for those who were there, as well as a great experience for those who weren't. And frankly, I think that some of these things are my fave performances of some tunes of yours ("No Liberation Here"). Go for it. Mark E. Moon

Hi Jim,
If this show was on your 21st birthday then I remember being at that show also.
I remeber Ratso's being located on a corner on Lincoln Ave. I went there by myself and the only place to sit was a large table, I took a seat and who walks in? Javier (who I casually knew) and his whole crew. They joined me and we had a great time! The news of this discovery is fantastic and of course I hope to hear this lost gem. Many thanks to the individual esponsible for preserving this material for 30+ years.
